This six-session course gives rookie recruiters the core tools and habits to ramp quickly and with confidence. The emphasis is on structure, consistency and practical drills so new consultants understand the full recruitment cycle, avoid guesswork and build sustainable, high-quality activity from day one. The course focuses on sourcing, screening, interviews, early BD and desk management so your first year is spent building durable skill rather than firefighting.

What this course covers

Sourcing and candidate generation

A repeatable approach to finding talent: saving searches, building a pipeline and running proactive routines so you have reliable long lists that convert into interviews. Practical templates and a sourcing checklist are included.

Interviewing and delivery

How to take a robust brief, structure face to face interviews, prepare candidates and manage feedback so interviews convert and client confidence increases. This removes late stage surprises and protects momentum.

Early BD and desk control

Simple, high-impact BD and desk management habits to protect time for sourcing and client work. You’ll learn how to run client meetings, pitch a role and create a weekly rhythm that scales as you grow.

6 x 1.5 hour sessions, with coursework and activities to support with embedding what you have learnt.

Talent and sourcing strategy
A practical sourcing playbook: how to build and save searches, create daily routines and produce a pipeline so new recruiters consistently generate candidate options rather than relying on ads.
Screening and interviewing
How to screen CVs quickly and accurately and structure interviews so you get the right detail to shortlist with confidence. Includes an interview preparation checklist.
Delivery and process control
From briefing to offer, what consistent delivery looks like and the checkpoints to prevent roles drifting. Practical exercises to embed handovers, rebriefs and candidate prep.
BD basics
A straightforward BD framework for rookies: simple outreach, pitching a role, a starter list and short scripts that build confidence and lead to real conversations.
Recruitment process
Hands on management of live roles, including briefing, interview management, feedback loops and protecting terms so jobs stay live and convert more often.
Desk management and growth
Daily and weekly rhythms to protect sourcing, BD and delivery time. Build sustainable habits so a rookie becomes a consistent performer and avoids burnout.
