I’ve worked on the frontline of recruitment for over 20 years. Before transitioning to fully retained, I worked contingently. So I know the struggles that contingent recruiters face. The ‘no-win, no-fee’ model. Working for free. With clients who aren’t committed. Candidates dropping out, roles getting pulled, unpredictable revenue.
I’ve made it my mission to help recruiters transition to retained and elevate their search offering. The opportunity to work in partnership with clients, work on more senior appointments which result in larger fees, and be paid for all the work you do - it’s changing people’s lives.
I’ve trained over 1000 members globally, from large recruitment firms to independent recruiters, to successfully win and deliver their business on a retained basis. They’ve secured over 20 million pounds in retained fees in the last two years. Most have ZERO experience of retained search.

I'm Kyle, your partner for specialised financial consulting services at KB Financial Consulting (KBFC), a business entrenched within recruitment. With a Monash University degree and 15 years of seasoned experience in cost management, process improvement, and risk mitigation, I've spent my career assisting recruitment agencies to better understand and optimise their financial health.
My personal goal? To be more than just your Financial Advisor or Accountant. I strive to be a true business partner to my clients, providing expertise tailored to the unique nuances of recruitment agencies. My passion is translating complex accounting information into a language that agency owners can understand and action.

I have a strong passion for enhancing recruiters' self-assurance in business development (BD)! Much of successful BD hinges on genuine confidence in oneself, and that's precisely what I assist recruiters in achieving.
Over the past 13 years, I've spent all of my professional time in agency recruitment, from hands on recruiting across multiple sectors, leading a 50 person agency as a COO, right through to running my own retained search agency - Spencer Lane. In 2020, I channeled all of this experience into starting Hume Scope - a training business focussed on developing exceptional recruiters through practical hands on training & development. To date, we've trained in excess of 2000 recruitment professionals & agency owners. It is my absolute happy place and I genuinely love what I do!
Aside from Hume Scope, I also Co-Founded KBFC, which in a nutshell, is a strategic Management Consulting firm for Recruitment Agencies. We provide end to end consulting across agencies core areas: Finance | People | Operations | Sales & Marketing.
Jordan spent several years experiencing the typical frustrations of a contingent recruiter – working in uncommitted partnerships on a no win – no fee basis. Jordan transitioned to a fully retained executive search consultant, quadrupling his revenue and winning and delivering on senior, strategic hires globally. Will this day be available online too if I can't make it in person?
No. Afraid not. This is an in-person event only and we will not be live streaming or recording.
What time will I need to arrive for the day?
Please arrive between 8.15 & 8.45 so we can get you registered and set up with a coffee before our first masterclass session at 9am.
Can I pick and choose which sessions I attend?
We would recommend attending all, however, it is optional. Your ticket price allows you access to all sessions. Worth noting, our last sessions of the day on financial management & Elevating on-camera presence will be held in seperate breakout rooms. Owners will be invited in to the financial management session, while everyone else will be invited in to the Elevating on-camera presence session.
Would this conference be relevant for my whole team?
Yes. While some sessions will be more focussed on Leaders and Senior Consultant level, support staff and Junior Consultants will still benefit.
